So this is my first post.  I am totally new to this whole blogging thing, and I am involved in an intense learning curve.  I hope to share my artwork with my viewers as well as some of my views and philosophies on art, creativity and life – that will happen as soon as I figure out how to work everything.  For now, since I managed to get this image posted, I will talk about it…

Hemingway at Dawn was selected to be included in the Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition held in 29 Palms, CA.  I was so honored to be one of the 53 artists selected.  I have not entered a juried show in years – many, many years.  Joshua Tree National Park is a frequent subject for my landscapes, so I knew I had to enter this show.  JTNP has a unique beauty that I cannot describe with words, but I hope that my paintings capture.  It was fascinating to me to see all the different interpretations of this National Park at the show – all generated from the same inspirational place.  If you have not had a chance to get out and see the show, I encourage you to check it out.  It’s at the 29 Palms Art Gallery through Dec. 28th.  They are open 12 -3,  Wednesday – Sunday.
